for the Fall River Historical Society

Conservation Fund

As Fall River’s greatest historical resource, the FRHS assumes the enormous responsibility of preserving its collections for present and future generations. Proper stewardship of this cultural material is of paramount importance, and conservation is an essential aspect of a successful collections management program. It is also a daunting task, as objects exhibiting a wide range of preservation issues are continuously being identified by the curators.

Conserving a large number of objects in diverse media presents a costly as well as complex challenge. In order to address this issue, the FRHS routinely consults with conservation professionals in various fields.

Contributions to this fund (follow this link) ensure the physical and aesthetic integrity and continued vitality of objects in the FRHS collections, and greatly enhance public access to and appreciation of the Society’s holdings.

All contributions are tax deductible to the full extent allowable by law.
