Visiting Easton Tea Room is one of the pleasures of the holiday season for many of our members and friends. Located adjacent to the museum building in the circa 1870 Alexander Dorrance Easton residence at 458 High Street, the tea room features designer interiors and original period details, accented with Victorian antiques.
“Great day today: High Tea at the Fall River Historical Society and a chance to view their magnificently decorated Christmas trees. A highlight of the Christmas season for us now.” — A visitor
Victorian High Tea includes an extensive selection of Ashby’s famous English teas, a variety of tea sandwiches, savories, and delectable dainty pastries. Our heavenly date and ginger scones, for which we are locally famous, are made from early 20th-century recipes. Pastries include confections such as hand-decorated petit fours and our traditional almond macaroons, a FRHS favorite since 1921. Savories include flavored breads with cream cheese filling, tartlets, and traditional cucumber sandwiches.
“… a wonderful experience as usual. We look forward to it every year and are never disappointed. Just beautiful and my favorite place for high tea.” — A visitor
