Judy Perreault was born and raised in the city of Fall River. Educated in her native city, she attended SS. Peter and Paul School, is a graduate of Mount Saint Mary Academy, and attended Johnson & Wales University. Judy worked at the telephone company before she began her lengthy career at Stop & Shop, where she was employed for thirty-seven years, retiring as Office Manager in 2012.
A long-time member of the Fall River Historical Society, Judy has been extremely active in the organization, serving as a member of numerous committees and volunteering at countless events over the years. A mainstay of the museum’s Easton Tea Room, Judy has scheduled the volunteer staff, and has been involved in all aspects of the day-to-day running of the facility, both during the busy holiday season and for private events throughout the year.
In addition to her work with the museum, Judy is an active member and volunteer of several local non-profit organizations including the Little Theatre of Fall River, the Fall River Garden Club, and the Preservation Society of Fall River. She is also a volunteer at Charlton Memorial Hospital, working in the Oncology Department.
In 2016, Judy received the Volunteer of the Year Award from Southcoast Health for her many office duties at the Southcoast Centers for Cancer Care at Charlton Memorial Hospital, and, in 2017, was awarded the Paul Harris Award from the Fall River Rotary Club. An avid golfer, Judy enjoys traveling, mahjong, and bocce.
Judy is being recognized for her outstanding commitment to the Fall River Historical Society, and for her exemplary volunteerism.
