FRHS SUMMER LECTURE SERIES

Below you can view, in one location, all extant filmed recordings of our Summer Lecture Series, from 2003 until present. In 2003, our series was called the Fall River Historical Bicentennial Lecture Series, as it was the 200th anniversary of the founding of Fall River in 1803. Some years are absent because they were not filmed, and individual presentations may not be included because of other issues. In each instance, the filming of the talk was for archival purposes only, so the quality may, at times, be less than ideal.

This is a list of all programs that are not included:

    • “Show and Tell: The Documentary Life of Lizzie Borden" – Dr. Stefani Koorey, 2005
    • “Parallel Lives" – Michael Martins and Dennis Binette, August 21, 2009
    • “What the Jury Heard: Evidence in the Case of Lizzie Borden" – Cara Robertson, October 5, 2009
    • “Lizzie Borden Live: From Page to Stage" – Jill Dalton, October 26, 2009
    • “Dighton Rock: Catalyst to Discovery?" – Robert Kitchen, July 16, 2013
    • “A History of South Park: Frederick Law Olmsted and the Urban Landscape Movement in America" – Stefani Koorey, July 30, 2014
    • “After the Great Lajoie: Fall River’s Professional Baseballists from 1897 to World War II" – Philip T. Silvia Jr., July 12, 2017
    • “Murderous SouthCoast" – Stefani Koorey, July 23, 2019

We would like to thank the Grimshaw-Gudewicz Charitable Foundation for funding our lecture series from 2009 to the present.
