Many have fond memories of Main Street in Fall River. McWhirr’s, Cherry & Webb, J.J. Newberry, and Woolworths are but a few of the businesses that come to mind when taking a stroll down memory lane in downtown Fall River. So, in honor of St. Patrick’s Day, it seems the perfect time to take a nostalgic look back at South Main Street in March of 1958 and 1959, and join in the festivities at the St. Patrick’s Day parade.
