Program for a Testimonial Banquet presented by the employees of Har-Lee Manufacturing Company, 425 Pleasant Street, Fall River, Massachusetts, who were members of the International Ladies Garment Workers Union Local 178, to honor the organization’s president, David Dubinsky. The affair was held at The Casino, 50 Morgan Street, Fall River, on October 22, 1941; among the accomplishments celebrated: “Vacation With Pay!”

This “Agreement” booklet, dated December 3, 1943, was presented by the Fall River Textile Manufacturers Association to members of the Textile Workers Union of America (C.I.O.), who were employees of the following corporations: American Thread Company (Kerr Mills); Arkwright Corporation; Berkshire Fine Spinning Associates, Inc., Plants “A,” “B,” and “E”; Border City Manufacturing Company; Bourne Mills; Foster Spinning Company; Howard Arthur Mills; Richard Borden Manufacturing Company; and Sagamore Manufacturing Company.

This booklet, Fall River.. A Brighter To-Morrow, was issued under the direction of the Educational Department of the Textile Workers Union of America (C.I.O.) for presentation to its members in Fall River, Massachusetts, circa 1945.

This Home Town Union booklet was distributed in 1948 by the International Ladies Garment Workers Union, District of Southern New England, to its members in Fall River, Massachusetts, and the surrounding community. The intent was to guide the reader “on a little picture tour throughout the ‘union home’ of some 7,500 … neighbors.”
