During the 1910s and 1920s, women began to add shaving into their beauty repertoire. In 1915, Gillette was the first company to create razors specifically for women.
The CURVFIT razor came in a variety of styles, including gold and pearl plated. This model, No. 1 Gold Plated, sold for $1 in the 1920s. It was touted as “the only razor especially adapted to feminine needs.”
