The delicate ruffled crimped edge adds a touch of playfulness. Miniature glass pieces were often created by glassblowers as whimsies. This piece dates to the third quarter of the 19th century.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">\u00a0<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">These little trinkets could be given as gifts or purchased as an addition to the ever-popular curio cabinet.
