This bell is installed in our library and still works to this day!<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">\u00a0<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">When the Historical Society was a private residence, the home boasted numerous service bells to summon servants. Much like the speaking tubes featured before, service bells were commonly connected to a bell system within the staff areas.
