We wonder if the meal included Caroline\u2019s famous salad dressing, of which she habitually made enormous number of quarts for countless social events of the day.<\/p>\n<p>One can only imagine the Thanksgiving festivities held at the Brayton home! Hezekiah and Caroline had nine surviving children in 1901, and all but one appears to have attended dinner \u2013 their daughter Margaret was away at college.
