{"id":4885,"date":"2018-06-11T14:10:14","date_gmt":"2018-06-11T18:10:14","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/lizzieborden.org\/CuratorsCorner\/?p=4885"},"modified":"2018-06-11T14:10:14","modified_gmt":"2018-06-11T18:10:14","slug":"museum-shop-repairs","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/fallriverhistorical.org\/CuratorsCorner\/2018\/06\/11\/museum-shop-repairs\/","title":{"rendered":"Museum Shop Repairs"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The entire first floor of the wing that now houses the Museum Shop \u2013 the so-called \u201cell\u201d housed the kitchen and service area in the days when the building was a private residence \u2013 has recently been repaired and repainted, thanks to a grant from the Thomas A. Rodgers Jr. Family Foundation.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">A leak in the roof a few years ago caused a section of plaster ceiling to sag from the lathe, and several areas of stucco on the walls and ceilings in various rooms to peel and flake \u2013 frankly, it looked like hell \u2013 but little could be done about it due to the lack of funds to cover the repairs, which were generally cosmetic; there was also a sizeable area of wall and ceiling damaged in a second floor room.
